Mrs. Lea is a principal of a private special needs schools in Philippines. She has more than 12 years of experience teaching special needs children, in both public and private schools. She has conducted various training and seminars on teaching strategies for students with Autism, ADHD, Learning Disability, Behavioral Problem, Intellectual Disability, and other related disabilities.

She has also spoken at various schools covering topics on stress, anger, and time management, as well as leadership skills and basic counseling skills for students and teachers.  

She provides integrated guidance and counseling in the field of special education to parents of children with special needs. Her other skills are Psychoeducational Assessment, Functional Behavior Assessment, IEP Planning and Development, Behaviour Intervention Plan, and SPED Program Implementation.

Her last research thesis was on the enhancement of acceptance among parents of children with disabilities which helped parents recognize their emotions leading to an increase in acceptance of their children. She is a member of two international honor societies, the Pi Gamma Mu and the Phi Kappa Phi.
